Bumping in to M16 Artspace
In just an hour I set up my works for my new show, It’s for your own good. These works explore experiences from my childhood that inform who I am now. It’s extraordinarily handy having all the works the same size and so expertly framed, because it was a simple case of banging in a nail in the wall and hanging the works. You can see how fast it was here: https://youtu.be/yMVVlC2XSqk The show opens on Thursday. I’ll let you know how it goes. #art #painting #contemporaryart #Pap

I am Shia LaBeouf
Last November Shia LaBeouf watched all his movies in the Angelika Film Centre in New York City, there were crowds in the lobby waiting hours to get in and sit in the same theatre with Shia as he watched his films. For people like me, in rural Australia, I could watch Shia watching his films through a live stream of him watching his films, end-to-end, for hours on end. An art project conveniently called All My Movies. Since then, I’ve had three screengrabs of him on my desktop

Six seconds of fame, post pop portraits
Sal, Six seconds of fame, post pop portrait This is a new beginning. Sometimes the best thing to do is just start. Put marks on paper, scratch around and create something. My next series is a series of mixed media portraits created in association with Vine videos, little six second snippets of video. I love the brevity of it and turning that brevity into a work on canvas. Tragically, I lost my earlier videos but I’ll keep extending this video as I create more and more six sec
